We’re Like the Christmas Sweater You Actually Want

Ah, the holidays. A time to kick back and enjoy some time off with family and friends. If you’re anything like us, we’re totally listening to uncle Paul’s drunken stories, but in the back of our minds, we’re counting down the days until we can snag our rides out of storage and forget about the cold weather. Luckily, we have packed this issue with the best content for curing you of those winter blues.

Warm your hands on our Trending section, where you’ll find everything you need to know about your respective scene. Our crack team of photographers (Avengers, who?) has been scouring events and shows to bring you the latest in fitment, aero, audio and horsepower. Also, our coverage of the tuning culture in China comes to a head with the featured event: All In Tuning China. Check it out and see how things work in the nation’s capital of Beijing.

Cuddle up next our team of columnists (some of them might be into it). Garry Springgay brings the Sound Advice in the hot seat. He answers questions about audio installations from you and other PASMAG readers. Ground Pounder is back! In this fifth chapter, George Dimitriadis puts the finishing touches on his city-shaking Hummer H2 build. He brought it to PASMAG headquarters and nearly blew our windows out. Cabe Sipes gives some great advice in Cabe’s Corner this issue. He answers the questions that independent audio builders want to know, and even shows you how to save some money when setting up your workshop! And as always, the Drift Doctor, a.k.a. Jacob Leveton, weighs in on his favorite viral videos from the FD pros. Stay tuned for some serious hoonage.

Another Legends story just came out of the oven and, boy, does it smell good! This time we take a look at world renowned audio builder David “Fishman” Rivera. That’s right, the crazy guy who thought, “I want to put fish tanks in my car.” Find out about his origins, what he’s been making into a “Fish Edition” these days, and what’s next for the Fishman.

On the feature front, we’ve got cars that are going to make you wish show and shine season was happening now. Our cover car is the Derek Chan’s Nissan 370Z. Working for Bulletproof Automotive does have its perks as you will see. It’s got a lot of power, tons of style, so much carbon fiber; what’s not to like? Also on the docket is a Civic Si from Florida, owned by a power couple that just can’t be stopped. Wailing up as well is a quad-rotor RX-7 from Japan. If you weren’t already a fan of the FD3S, this will set you straight like spiked egg nog.

Mr. Leveton returns later on to deliver another feature from the world of Formula Drift. This time our subject is Matt Field and his CX Racing / Nitto Tire S14.5 in highlighter yellow, freshly built and tuned from the Drift Cave.

So, open us up and take a look inside. It’s toasty in here, we promise. We’re like a shot of whiskey: nice and warm going down, but we’re not going to make you do anything stupid. While you’re reading and visions of burnouts dance in your heads, we’d like to extend our wishes for a happy and safe holiday season from all of us at PASMAG.
